Case 1: Divorce
Story: After 15 years of marriage, a U.S. Army Sergeant with 20 years service filed for divorce after his wife's dissipated their assets through excessive gambling. The respondent (wife) requested $33,000 alimony, 50 percent of our client's military retirement and equitable division of assets, property and fees. Our client requested approval of the dividion of assets that had already taken place, each party assume their own debts, no spousal maintenance and no division of his retirement.
Court: The Court granted the divorce and granted that only 20 percent of our clients military retirement be set aside for the respondent. Also, the respondent was ordered to pay our clients' attorney fees.
Outcome: Client satisfied with the Court's division of assets and debts; rejection of maintenance; award of attorney’s fees; and final division of military retirement.
Case 2: Child Custody and Support

Case 3: Divorce
Story: After four years of marriage, our client filed for divorce on the grounds of incompatibility. The respondent wanted approximately $94,000 alimony over three years, 50 percent of our clients investments and retirement, to be the 100 percent beneficiary for three years after the divorce is final, 50 percent of all contributions our client made to his mother during their marriage and approximately $50,000 reimbursement for other items. Our client approval of the division of assets, each party be responsible for their own debts and no division of retirement or savings.
Court: The Court granted the divorce, approved all the requests of our client and rejected the respondent's requests for maintenance and division of retirement and maintenance.
Outcome: Our client received what he requested, did not have to pay alimony or divide his savings and retirement.
Case 4: Divorce
Story: After 14 years, our client filed for divorce citing incompatibility. Our client sought maintenance of $300 per month for 36 months and attorney fees. Also, a review of a prenuptial agreement that did not grant fair and equitable division of assets. The Respondent did not want to divorce.
Court: The Court granted the divorce and approved the division of assets, maintenance and attorney's fees requested by our client.
Outcome: Our client's requests were granted despite the presence of a prenuptial agreement.
